Upon acceptance to UACCM, students will make an appointment with an academic advisor in Academic Advising and Career Services. During your first advising appointment, you will create an academic plan and register for your first semester classes. Each following semester, students will meet with their individually assigned academic advisors to review their plans and register for classes.
Registration dates for fall and summer semesters are posted beginning in March, and spring semester dates are posted beginning in October.
All advising appointments may be made online through Appointment Plus. Access Appointment Plus on the Registration Dates page and click the "Book Now" button when available. Students may also call 501-208-5307 or drop by the Academic Advising and Career Services in Business Technology Center room 200 to make an appointment.
During your new student advising appointment, the advisor will discuss your major and the required courses to complete your degree. Your advisor will assist you with class choices and will enroll you in classes.
Tips and Resources for Academic Advising
It is always best if you have an idea of your planned major. Tip: view UACCM's degree plans before your appointment.
If you plan to transfer to a 4-year college or university, it is helpful to know the major and course requirements for your major there. Tip: Use the Arkansas Course Transfer System to check transferability of courses.
Students are placed in classes their first semester based on ACT and COMPASS scores. Visit the Course Placement Scores page to see where you place.
To view the class schedule prior to advising, you can access the schedule here. Most classes are offered on a Monday, Wednesday, and Friday schedule or on a Tuesday and Thursday schedule. We also offer online, hybrid, and evening classes.
If you have received your acceptance letter to UACCM, then you are ready to book an appointment with your academic advisor to register for classes! If you have not received your acceptance letter, then contact the Admissions Office at 501-977-2053.
