UACCM awards academic scholarships to students based on ACT or other entrance exam scores, class rank, intended major, and high school or college GPA.
(UACCM superscores the ACT to determine eligibility for scholarships.)

Academic Excellence Scholarship

Returning students are eligible for this scholarship.
Full Tuition Waiver.
Renewable for three semesters.
Eligibility Requirements: Completion of 24 college-level credit hours at UACCM with cumulative GPA of 4.00. Once enrolled, student must enroll in and successfully complete at least 12 college credit hours each semester and maintain a cumulative GPA of 4.00 to be eligible for renewal.

Academic Incentive Scholarship

New and transfer students are eligible for this scholarship.
$500 Per Semester Tuition Waiver.
Renewable for three semesters.
Eligibility Requirements: 21 to 23 ACT composite score with no subtest score below 19 or COMPASS scores of 87 on Reading, 87 on Writing, 73 on Pre-Algebra (51 on Algebra). Test scores cannot be over 5 years old. Transfer students must not have attempted over 15 college credit hours and must have a cumulative GPA of 3.00. Student must enroll in and successfully complete at least 12 credit hours each semester and maintain a semester GPA of 3.00 to be eligible for renewal.

Academic Scholarship

New and transfer students are eligible for this scholarship.

Renewable for three semesters.
Eligibility Requirements: 24 ACT composite or COMPASS scores of 92 on Reading, 94 on Writing, and 85 on Pre-Algebra (66 on Algebra), or top 10% of high school graduating class. Top 10% eligible students must enroll at UACCM within 5 years following high school graduation. Test scores cannot be over 5 years old. Transfer students must not have attempted over 15 college credit hours and must have a cumulative GPA of 3.00. Student must enroll in and successfully complete at least 12 credit hours each semester and maintain a semester GPA of 3.00 to be eligible for renewal.

Arkansas Scholars Scholarship

$250 Per Semester Tuition or Fee Waiver.
Renewable for three consecutive semesters.
Eligibility Requirements: Student must be officially recognized as an Arkansas Scholar to be eligible for this scholarship. The student’s high school transcript must reflect the Arkansas Scholars designation. Student must remain enrolled in and successfully complete at least 12 credit hours each semester consecutively and maintain a semester GPA of 2.50 to be eligible for renewal.

Chancellor’s Ambassador Scholarship

New, returning, and transfer students are eligible for this scholarship.
Full Tuition Waiver.
Eligibility Requirements: 17 ACT composite or comparable COMPASS score, high school or UACCM/College GPA of 2.50, or GED average score of 600. UACCM/College GPA supersedes the high school GPA if the recipient has attended UACCM/college prior to the time the scholarship is awarded. Must provide two letters of recommendation, an interview with the Admissions Office staff, and a written paragraph (see item #9 on scholarship application). Student must maintain good job performance and be enrolled in and successfully complete at least 12 credit hours each semester and maintain a semester GPA of 2.50 to be eligible for renewal.

Chancellor’s Scholar Scholarship

Returning students are eligible for this scholarship.
$500 Per Semester Tuition Waiver.
Renewable for three semesters.
Eligibility Requirements: Completion of 12 college-level credit hours the previous semester at UACCM with a semester GPA of 4.00. Student must enroll in and successfully complete at least 12 credit hours each semester and maintain a semester GPA of 4.00 to be eligible for renewal.

Dr. Ernest P. Griffin, Jr. Endowment Scholarship

New and returning students are eligible for this scholarship.
Variable Amount.
Non-renewable.
Eligibility Requirements: Must be a full-time student in pursuit of an AA or AS degree with the intent of pursuing a four-year degree. High school or UACCM GPA of 2.50 or above and no remedial courses based on ACT or COMPASS scores. UACCM GPA supersedes the high school GPA if the recipient has attended UACCM prior to the time the scholarship is awarded. Must provide written paragraph (see item #9 on scholarship application). Based on financial need and recommendation letter from former instructor or counselor.

Faculty Association Merit Scholarship

Returning students are eligible for this scholarship.
Non-renewable.
Eligibility Requirements: Previous completion of 24 credit hours at UACCM with GPA of 3.25, and full-time enrollment at UACCM during semester being considered for scholarship. Must provide three letters of reference from faculty members. Selection is made by the UACCM Scholarship Committee. A student can only be awarded this scholarship one time. The amount and number of scholarships are contingent on the availability of funding.

GED Scholarship

New students who are graduates of adult education centers in UACCM’s primary six-county service area in Arkansas are eligible for this scholarship.
Full Tuition Waiver.
Renewable for three semesters.
Eligibility Requirements: 610 GED score or above on GED test. The recipients must utilize this scholarship within 12 months following GED graduation. Student must enroll in and successfully complete at least 12 credit hours each semester and maintain a semester GPA of 3.00 to be eligible for renewal

Perry and Addie Brown Scholarship

Minority Conway County high school graduates are eligible.
$500 Per Semester.
Renewable for one semester.
Eligibility Requirements: Student must not need remediation and have at least a 2.50 high school GPA. The scholarship is awarded on a semester basis to a full-time Conway County minority student and is renewable for one additional semester if the student maintains a 2.50 grade point average.

Presidential Scholarship

New and transfer students are eligible for this scholarship.
Full Tuition and Fee Waiver plus $500 Book Allowance.
Renewable for three semesters.
Eligibility Requirements: 28 ACT composite with no subtest score below a 19, or comparable or COMPASS test score. Test scores cannot be over 5 years old. Transfer students must not have attempted more than 15 college credit hours and must have a cumulative GPA of 3.00. Students must enroll in and successfully complete at least 12 credit hours each semester and maintain a semester GPA of 3.25 to be eligible for renewal.

University Scholarship

New and transfer students are eligible for this scholarship.
Full Tuition and Fee Waiver.
Renewable for three semesters.
Eligibility Requirements: 26 ACT composite with no subtest score below a 19, or comparable or COMPASS test score. Test scores cannot be over 5 years old. Transfer students must not have attempted more than 15 college credit hours and must have a cumulative GPA of 3.00. Students must enroll in and successfully complete at least 12 credit hours each semester and maintain a semester GPA of 3.00 to be eligible for renewal.

*Technology Scholarships

Career Center Scholarship

New students are eligible for these scholarships, which are awarded each fall semester.
Full Tuition Waiver.
Renewable for three semesters.
Eligibility Requirements: High school GPA of 2.25 or above and completion of minimum of four semesters of coursework at an Arkansas secondary career center. Must provide letter of recommendation stating they have completed the required four semesters of coursework. The letter or recommendation must be from a career center director, counselor, or instructor, and a written paragraph (see item #9 on scholarship application). Must be used fall semester following high school graduation. Student must enroll in and successfully complete at least 12 credit hours each semester and maintain a semester GPA of 2.50 to be eligible for renewal.

Clarence Cecil Janes Scholarship

New and returning students are eligible for this scholarship.
$125 Per Semester.
Renewable for one semester.
Eligibility Requirements: Student must be majoring in welding. Must provide written paragraph (see item #12 on scholarship application). Selection is made by the UACCM Scholarship Committee and the recommendation of the provider of the scholarship.

Early Childhood Development Student Organization Scholarship

New and returning students are eligible for this scholarship.
$100 Per Semester.
Renewable for one semester.
Eligibility Requirements: Must be full-time student majoring in Early Childhood Development at UACCM. Must provide written paragraph (see item #9 on scholarship application). Students must remain enrolled in at least 12 credit hours each semester and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.00 to be eligible for renewal.

Fayetteville Shale Scholarship Fund, Inc.

New and returning students are eligible for this scholarship.
Variable Amount.
Renewable.
Eligibility Requirements: Must be a full-time Petroleum Technology major with at least 6 hours of courses applying toward a Petroleum Technology plan of study. Returning students are considered based on maintaining a semester GPA of 2.75 for regular scholarships and a semester GPA of 3.25 for merit-based scholarships and must have financial need based on the cost-of-attendance budget. A first semester student is considered based on high school GPA, ACT scores, or COMPASS scores and must have financial need based on the cost-of-attendance budget. The number of scholarships are limited. There is a possibility of scholarship renewal throughout a recipient’s completion of the Petroleum Technology plan of study. Previous scholarship recipients must be selected by the scholarship committee each semester and maintain the proper GPA. There is no guarantee of renewal. Students must complete a new Scholarship Application each academic year (August-May)

At the end of each semester, the top performing student(s) who have earned 30 hours toward their technical certificate or associate degree will receive an additional $1000 award for the following semester. Student(s) who achieve a 4.0 semester GPA will qualify for this award.

Lance Cunningham Memorial Scholarship

New and returning students are eligible for this scholarship.
$150.
Non-renewable.
Eligibility Requirements: Must be an Air Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Technology major. Must provide written paragraph (see item #12 on scholarship application). Selection is made by the UACCM Scholarship Committee upon recommendation by UACCM Air Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Technology instructor.

Technology Scholarship

New students are eligible for these scholarships, which are awarded each fall semester.
Full Tuition Waiver.
Renewable for three semesters.
Eligibility Requirements: 17 composite ACT score or minimum COMPASS scores of 63 on Writing, 76 on Reading, 44 on Pre-Algebra (28 on Algebra) and high school GPA of 2.25 or above. Must demonstrate aptitude for technical or occupational skills as evidenced by a letter of recommendation from a high school instructor, career center director, or employer. Student must enroll in and successfully complete at least 12 credit hours each semester and maintain a semester GPA of 2.50 to be eligible for renewal. Students must be enrolled in courses applicable to a technical certificate or technical degree (A.A.S.) to maintain eligibility for the scholarship. Must provide written paragraph (see item #9 on scholarship application).

Academic Competitiveness Grant

Up to $750 for First Academic Year; up $1,300 for the Second Academic Year.
Renewable for three semesters
Eligibility Requirements: Must be a U.S. Citizen; be a Federal Pell recipient; be enrolled in at least 6 hours in an approved program; be enrolled in a two- or four-year degree granting institution; have completed a rigorous secondary school program of study (after January 1, 2007 if a first-year student, and after January 1, 2006, if a second year student). First-year students must not have been previously enrolled in an undergraduate program. Second-year students must have at least a cumulative 3.0 grade point average on a 4.0 scale for the first academic year.

Federal Stafford Unsubsidized Loan

Up to $6,000 For First and Second Academic Years.

Arkansas Academic Challenge Scholarship

Up to $2,500 Per Semester for Entering Freshmen.
The deadline is June 1 for the following fall semester.

Arkansas Air National Guard Tuition Assistance Waiver

25% of Tuition Costs.
Eligibility Requirements: Members of the Arkansas Air National Guard who are approved to receive assistance by the Base Education Office are eligible.

GED Tuition Waiver

Three Credit Hour Waiver.
Eligibility Requirements: Student must have completed the GED program and earned the high school equivalency certificate from a semester GED program in Arkansas. The waiver is a one-time waiver for up to three hours of college coursework. Students must be enrolled at UACCM by the fall semester after completion of the GED.

Governor’s Distinguished Scholar

Up to $10,000.
Renewable annually.
Eligibility Requirements: 32 ACT composite score or above (1410 or above SAT) and 3.5 GPA, National Merit Finalist or National Achievement Finalist. The deadline is February 1 for the following fall semester.

Governor’s Scholarship

Up to $4,000.
Renewable annually.
Eligibility Requirements: This scholarship is not based on need, but is instead based on academic achievement. The deadline is February 1 for the following fall semester.

Higher Education Opportunities Grant (GO!)

$1,000 Per Year for Full-Time Students; $500 Per Year for Part-Time Students.
Renewable annually.
Eligibility Requirements: Students must have a family adjusted gross income not exceeding $25,000 per year. Deadlines for applying are June 1 for the fall term and November 1 for the spring term.

Single Parent Scholarship Fund

These scholarships are available to single parents in Conway County, Pope/Yell Counties, Faulkner County, Perry County, and Van Buren County.

State Teacher Assistance Grant (STAR)

Up to $6,000.
Renewable annually.
Eligibility requirements: Those awarded must teach in a regional or subject shortage area for the total number of years the grant was awarded.

Workforce Improvement Grant

Up to $1,000 Per Semester.
Eligibility Requirements: Student must be non-traditional and at least 24 years of age. Student must be enrolled in at least 3 credit hours, have an unmet need, and not be receiving more than $1,000 in Federal Pell Grant assistance.
