Employability Assistance

Students are encouraged to make use of all resources offered by the CP program, some of which include:

KUDER Journey Assessment

Provides scientific results relating to your Career interests, values and skills. The KUDER Journey Assessment can be a valuable tool in assisting students in choosing the right degree program for them.

Job Readiness Training or Soft Skills.

Soft skills are skills that businesses recognize as necessary for success in the workplace. You can meet these requirements by completing PLATO work modules and/or completing Career Skills from the Key Train program

Individual Career Plan (ICP)

This is a written plan designed by the student with the guidance and assistance by Career Pathways staff. The plan outlines both short-term and long-term employment and career goals, along with the steps that must be taken to achieve them.

Each semester, UACCM Career Pathways offers workshops for our students to enhance their employability skills. These sessions are typically held twice a semester , and cover a variety of topics, including:

  • Résumé writing
  • Job search skills
  • Workplace etiquette
  • Time management
  • Available community resources
  • Communication skills

As outlined in the Employability Contract (see page 13), students are expected to attend a minimum of one Employability Workshop (or approved alternate) each semester to remain eligible for funded services.
