ACCUPLACER
Admission test for course placement and scholarship purposes.
ACCUPLACER Testing is available daily at 9 am or 1 pm. If you need to test at another time, please contact Testing Services for availability. Testing Services hours are subject to change. Call the Testing Center and check the Testing Schedule before planning to take the test. Testing is on a first-come, first-served basis and is subject to space availability.
$5 fee for each section: reading, writing, and math ($15.00 total). Payment should be made at the Student Accounts window in the University Center prior to testing. ACCUPLACER testing fees are non-refundable, non-transferrable. Most students taking the ACCUPLACER need to take all three sections for course placement and financial aid. If you are unsure, contact your admissions counselor or call 501-977-2053.
- Photo I.D. and receipt must be shown before test is administered.
- Student must know his/her Social Security Number to take the ACCUPLACER
- No calculators are allowed for this exam.
- No test will be administered within 2 hours of the close of Testing Services.
Requesting ACCUPLACER Accommodations
Documentation criteria requirements for ACCUPLACER/COMPANION accommodations:
- The diagnosis is clearly stated
- Information is current
- Educational, developmental, and medical history is presented
- The diagnosis is supported
- The functional limitation is described
- Recommended accommodations are justified
- Evaluators’ professional credentials are established

ACCUPLACER Student Portal

Make-Up Tests
Exam proctoring for make-up tests as requested and approved by the instructor.
By appointment only. Testing Services cannot schedule an appointment without receiving the exam first. Make appointments via email at testing.services@uaccm.edu.
- Students must gain approval from their instructor and have the exam submitted before scheduling an appointment.
- Appointments should be made 48 hours in advance. Requests received on shorter notice are subject to time and space availability.
- Photo I.D. must be shown before test is administered.
- Students arriving late for an appointment are subject to cancellation.
- Test will be collected at the end of the time allowed by the instructor.
- Completed tests will be returned to the instructor.

Accommodated Testing
For students who have completed the disability intake process through the department of Student Development.
By appointment only. Make appointments via email to your instructor and coping (cc) testing.services@uaccm.edu to request the day, time, class, accommodations, and location of each exam.
- Schedule all exams 48 hours in advance. Requests received on shorter notice are subject to time and space availability.
- Schedule the exam when your class is taking the test unless your accommodation interferes.
- Discuss scheduling the exam with your instructor and let them know you’ll be using your accommodations.
- Students arriving late for an appointment are subject to cancellation.

Distance Education Proctoring
For courses not taught at UACCM
$25.00 fee for courses taught at another college. Payment should be made at the Student Accounts window in the University Center prior to testing. ACCUPLACER testing fees are non-refundable, non-transferrable.

Nursing Entrance Exam (NEX)
Entrance exam for the Practical Nursing program. Exam may be taken prior to applying to the Practical Nursing program.
$55 testing and proctoring fee. Payment should be made at the Student Accounts window in the University Center and receipt presented at Testing Services in order to schedule an appointment. NEX exam fees are refundable but non-transferrable.
The NEX is offered each Tuesday and Wednesday between July 1 - October 1 for program admission in Spring (January) and offered each Tuesday and Wednesday between Feburary 1 - May 1 for program admission in Fall (August). Time slots of either 8:30 am or 1:00 pm will be available for scheduling. Students are only allowed to take the NEX once during each practical nursing application period.

Nursing Accelerated Challenge Exam (NACE)
Entrance exam for the Registered Nursing program.
$70.00 testing and proctoring fee. Payment should be made at the Student Accounts window in the University Center and receipt presented at Testing Services in order to schedule an appointment. NACE exam fees are refundable but non-transferrable.
The NACE is offered on Mondays and Tuesdays between March 1 - October 1 at 8:00 am or 12:30 pm. Students are only allowed to take the NACE twice during each registered nursing application period.

CLEP (College Level Examination Program)
Earn college credit for knowledge acquired through independent study, prior course work, on-the-job training, professional development, cultural pursuits, or internships. CLEP is an internet-based assessment of current skills for college credit.
$25.00 proctoring fee. Payment should be made at the Student Accounts window in the University Center prior to testing.
$95.00 exam fee. Payment must be paid with a valid credit card at the time of test to CLEP online when logging in.

- While any CLEP test is available, UACCM offers credit for passing scores only on the tests listed on the testing Credit by Exam web page. UACCM has established minimum CLEP scores which are equal to or greater than the minimum scores recommended by the American Council of Education.
- There is a six month waiting period for re-testing.

Guidelines For Use
In order to ensure the integrity of all activity related to testing, UACCM has established the following guidelines:
- Students must present an official photo I.D. This may include a current driver’s license, UACCM student I.D., current alien registration/passport, or military I.D. Other forms of identification may be required. You will not be allowed to take a test without proper identification.
- No food or drinks are allowed in the testing area.
- Only students taking a test are permitted in the test area. No children or unauthorized adults are allowed. Testing Services reserves the right to refuse test administration to an individual if unsupervised children are present.
- All tests will be collected at the end of the time limit designated and/or at closing time. No tests will be administered 2 hours prior to the closing of testing services.
- Cellular phones, electronic devices, or personal belongings are required to be in a secure locker outside the testing room. Unauthorized electronic devices or personal belongings, including cell phones, found in the testing area may result in a revocation of testing privileges.
- Testing Services personnel is not responsible for lost, stolen, or broken items. Property secured in a testing locker will not be surrendered in the case of a lost key until a report is filed with the UACCM Department of Public Safety.
- Students are subject to being video-taped during exams to protect the integrity of the testing room and identity of the test taker should any questions arise.
- No breaks will be allowed during the administration of a test. Once a test begins, you may not leave the room unless you have requested special accommodations through the the department of Student Development. Students who have a require an accommodation should contact the the department of Student Development. The department of Student Development is located in the Business Technology Center, Room 204. Arrangements for accommodations should be made at least one week before arriving for the test.
- Scratch paper will be provided and must be turned into Testing Services personnel at the conclusion of a test. No scratch paper will be allowed to leave the testing room.
- Students are responsible for providing their own pen and/or pencil.
- The Testing Services policy on Academic Dishonesty is posted outside the testing room. Testing Services personnel will closely monitor the testing room at all times. Cheating may include, but is not limited to, making an effort to remove test materials, notes, or scratch paper from the testing room, not following test procedures, failing to stop work when time is called, disturbing or attempting to get answers from another examinee, using unauthorized aids during testing, accessing unauthorized internet links, disregarding proctor instructions, taking an examination for another individual, or allowing another person to take an exam for you.
- UACCM policies regarding misconduct and academic dishonesty will be enforced. Violators may be subject to disciplinary action in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct.
